Gordan Kolak

An experienced executive and expert in the strategic management and restructuring of complex business systems, with extensive experience in the fields of national and homeland security. Since taking the helm of KONČAR in 2020, Gordan Kolak has successfully led a comprehensive transformation of the company, with a strong focus on renewable energy, digital transition and the internationalisation of its operations. Under his leadership, KONČAR has become Croatia’s largest net exporter and a regional leader in technological innovation.

Gordan graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Rijeka and holds a master’s degree from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Naval Architecture at the University of Zagreb. He further developed his expertise in strategic organisational management and national security at prestigious American and European civilian and military institutions. Before joining KONČAR, he held senior executive and management board positions across the technology, ICT and industrial sectors.

Gordan joined KONČAR’s Management Board as Deputy President in 2019 and was appointed President in 2020. Since then, he has overseen a comprehensive restructuring that has delivered record revenues, profits, profit margins and order intake. His leadership focuses on international expansion, modernisation of production, digital transformation, research and development, and organisational resilience—firmly positioning KONČAR as a leading regional technology company at the forefront of sustainability and the green energy transition.
